This is how they came dressed for dinner. Hennie insisted on candles and speaking like a Victorian era lady all night, occasionally dabbing the sides of her mouth with her napkin.

almost ran out of pennies and dimes

hennie and mette helped me with the backsplash behind the stove. and they actually did help me. we created a kind of bucket brigade of labor: mette sorting pennies out of the change jar and replenishing the pile, and hennie retrieving tiles and handing them to me as I set them. They both took turns buttering tiles. Hege was out at the time, and having them there actually sped me up significantly.
