NY Marathon Day

Hennie is in a Co-Op Preschool which set up a kiosk outside the school building on Marathon Day to sell homemade baked goods, coffee, etc. to the crowds that line the street. We brought our waffle iron and made Norwegian waffles while all the kids played.

Prospect Park

Late October afternoon in Prospect Park. We bought a pizza and just sort of ran around until the sun went down.

Halloween

We managed to get pumpkins before Halloween and all carved them.

We didn't get a lot of pics from Halloween because we all met at a local parade after dark and the girls marched. it was chaos. But there was a lot of lead-up; pre-school parties with face-paint etc.

Few weeks ago we cleaned everything out of the front of the house and re-sanded, stained & sealed the floors.
For a few brief days we had a huge clean and open space and the girls would dance and slide around.

Brooklyn Heights

On the subway


We had a great evening in Dumbo a couple of weeks ago while the weather was still warm. They played hard all thru sunset and into the dark at the playground under the Manhattan Bridge and then we got hot chocolates and walked back along the esplanade to the subway.


A large carpet & furniture warehouse was going out of business and we spent a couple of hours climbing over piles of rugs. hennie was getting ready for Halloween.

Basement Landing

We built a short CMU wall as part of a new stair landing in our basement a few weeks ago.




Filled with quickcrete


We're burying 4 treads to create this entry landing at the height of the basement door, and gain long-term storage below.
